Each paint type can have multiple items (products/colours). On every room card, each surface has a "Paint item # / Primer item #" pair — the room's area flows to those items only. Ceiling/wall primer needs its "prime" box ticked; door/frame/window primer counts when that section's Primer coat is toggled on. Litres use the coats toggled in the work sections below.
